How to use Concrete Crack Repair

Our discount concrete crack repair was designed to fill cracks in concrete slabs in the garage and driveway. Though you can use our product to fill pretty much any concrete crack you see, even using some pigment to match the color of concrete if you like. There's really only a few steps to repairing concrete cracks, shall we begin?

  1. Clean the crack and surrounding area of dust, debris, and loose concrete. Do not use water!
  2. If the area is wet, you must wait until the area has been dry for 48 hours before patching the crack. Our polyurethane crack filler does not react well with water molecules, excess water could cause the material to foam and expand drastically.
  3. Combine equal amounts of Part A and B to sufficiently fill the crack you wish to patch.
  4. If you wish to match your concrete color add our approved pigment now.
  5. Mix well for no more than 30 seconds, as the material will gel in about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add sand if necessary to thicken and fill larger cracks.
  7. Apply the concrete crack repair mixture to your crack filling it sufficiently.
  8. Use a trowel or similar tool to smooth the material as much as possible.
  9. Wait 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your temperature and humidity.
  10. Grind material flush with concrete per your preference.

Additional Coatings

Complement your concrete with a protective decorative coating

Having patched your damaged concrete with our crack filler, you're probably wondering what's next? We recommend one of our decorative concrete coatings. Our most popular coatings are Polyaspartic, Epoxy, and Acrylic. Each chemistry has its pros and cons. To read about each type of coating click on a tab below.

  • Polyaspartic Garage Floor Coating

Polyaspartic floor coatings are the top dog in the garage. Offering the quickest install times, and superior chemical and abrasion resistance compared to other epoxy and polyurethane coatings. If you always wanted the best, this is your chance. Up to 4x more abrasion resistance than the leading epoxy coatings.

    • 4x stronger than epoxy
    • UV Stable
    • Superior Chemical resistance to staining
    • Wide Range of Color Options (see Flooring Colors)

  • Epoxy Garage Floor Coating

Epoxy is the tried and true workhorse in this industry for decades. Epoxy is the industrial choice for larger jobs because of its easier workability (longer pot life), and lower cost per sq. ft. when compared to Polyaspartic/Polyurea chemistries. Epoxy garage floor coatings are so good because the technology has been around for so long and tested all over the world. While an epoxy garage might be a 2 or 3 day install compared to polyaspartic's 1 day install, you get an almost identical appearance for much less. The durability is near the same, when applied correctly the coating should easily last for more than 15 years (depending on traffic/abuse). Chemical resistance and abrasion resistance will be similar to polyaspartic, for the price Epoxy delivers one heck of a bang for your dollar.

    • 2-3 day Installation
    • Good abrasion and chemical resistance to staining
    • Not UV stable, will yellow in direct sunlight. Recommended for use indoors.
    • Wide Range of Color Options (see Flooring Colors)
    • Custom Color matching available
    • Compatible with chips/flake
    • Compatible with anti-slip additive

  • Acrylic Garage Floor Coating

Acrylic polymer chemistry has been around for over 100 years, and we've just started using this to coat floors. You can get that superb decorative quality of an epoxy or polyaspartic coating for even less now. The adhesion properties of acrylic chemistry far surpass epoxy and polyaspartic, but the chemical resistivity to common solvents and acids is far less than competitive coatings. For this reason, acrylic should only be considered if you want the look of a luxurious floor coating knowing that you should never spill or leave any solutions that are harmful on your floor.

    • 1 Day Install
    • Excellent Adhesion
    • UV Stable
    • Wide Range of Color Options (see Flooring Colors, some excluded)
    • Custom Color matching available
    • Compatible with anti-slip additive
    • Not recommended for use with Chips/flake
